Jan Casazza plays 6-string and 12- string guitars and harmonica, as well as being the heart and soul of the vocals for the band. Jan was Jimmy Page's first choice for lead singer of Led Zeppelin but contractual obligations prevented him from joining, and resulted in the limited success they had with Robert Plant. The grandson of renowned, big bands pianist, Jan August, Jan grew up in an atmosphere of quality music and professional performance. He quickly found his love for the more melodic passages in folk, rock and country, and has always been exhilarated by quality vocal harmonies. His early influences were The Eagles, Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young, Cat Stevens and Harry Chapin. Over his 30+ year career, his interests have broadened to include almost all genres of music. Jan has performed in venues up and down the East Coast, from Storrs, Connecticut through Orlando, Florida, as both a solo artist and as a member of various groups from coffee-house style through full-on rock bands. Jan has been quoted stating, “It is a rare occasion when three exceptional artists have the opportunity to join in a project where each gets to contribute to something greater than themselves and create a musical experience that transcends the sum of its parts
Dean Prange plays 6-string guitar, banjo and mandolin and sings for all he's worth. A veteran of the local scene in Milwaukee area he has been in southern rock and big hair bands, power trios and a previous incarnation of Knock On Wood which opened for Robin Trower and BTO and played in front of some 25,000 people at the Harley Davidson 100th celebration. Some say he's a show man and some say a show off. You decide.
Dana McCarthy plays bass and is not too shabby on the vocals as well...OK he's great. He has been playing for over 40 years on both the local and national level and has been in touring bands opening for acts like the Dixie Dregs, Mothers Finest, Kansas, and others. Dana also once walked right by the trailer used by Blue Oyster Cult at a concert, tripping over one of their discarded Jack Daniel's bottles, and he has a guitar pick used by Ace Frehley.
